Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist with chairside procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain the highest standards of safety.
- Take and process dental X-rays, helping to diagnose and plan orthodontic treatments.
- Educate patients and their families on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage patient flow and maintain accurate clinical records in our electronic system.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) as required by Maryland state regulations.
- Current radiography (X-ray) certification.
- Previous experience in orthodontics highly preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Strong focus on patient comfort and safety.
- Excellent communication skills and a team spirit.
Knowledge & Skills
- Thorough knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and sterilization protocols.
- Understanding of orthodontic treatments, brackets, wires, and appliances.
- Proficiency with dental practice management software.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Great manual dexterity and attention to detail.
