Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontist during exams and procedures to ensure smooth patient care
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms for each patient
• Take and develop dental x-rays and impressions with accuracy
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions
• Maintain patient records and assist with appointment scheduling

Qualifications

• Certified or registered Dental Assistant in Maryland
• Orthodontic assisting experience preferred but willing to train the right candidate
• Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and sterilization techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and team
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dental environment

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of an accredited dental assistant program preferred

• Proficiency with dental software and scheduling systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Compassionate patient care approach
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Manual dexterity and ability to handle delicate instruments
