Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of technical MRI procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Independently operate MRI equipment under limited supervision, ensuring accurate and safe imaging.
- Apply comprehensive MRI safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and yourself.
- Exercise independent judgment and initiative in performing complex scans and patient assessments.
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to deliver exceptional consultative radiology services.
- Maintain quality control standards and participate in continuous education and training.
Qualifications
- Graduation from a formal AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
- Prior experience working as an MRI Technologist in a hospital setting.
- Active ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification and MRI Registry.
- Current CPR certification.
- Venipuncture certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire).
- At least two recent supervisory references available upon request.
Education
- Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program
Knowledge & Skills
- In-depth knowledge of MRI safety standards and protocols.
- Proficiency in operating MRI equipment and imaging software.
- Understanding of radiologic technology principles and patient positioning.
- Strong venipuncture skills for contrast media administration.
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical judgments.
- Excellent patient communication and care skills.
