Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver gentle and thorough dental cleanings to patients of all ages
• Take and develop dental X-rays with precision
• Assess patients' oral health and identify areas of concern
• Educate patients on brushing, flossing, and nutrition for healthy smiles
• Document patient care accurately in electronic health records
• Sterilize instruments and maintain a safe, clean clinical environment
• Collaborate with dentists and dental team to create personalized care plans

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Dental Hygienist license
• Associate degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Ability to work well within a collaborative dental team

• Oral prophylaxis and periodontal assessment
• Dental radiography and X-ray safety
• Infection control and sterilization protocols
