Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
- Take and record vital signs, observing and reporting changes promptly
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe patient handling with attention to dignity
- Support nursing team with documentation and accurate charting
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
- Build trusting relationships with residents and families through attentive care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility health requirements (immunizations, TB screen)
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Previous long-term care or direct patient care experience preferred
Education
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in ADLs, bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting assistance
- Knowledge of basic vital sign assessment and observation techniques
- Understanding of infection control and safety procedures
- Comfortable with charting and following care plans
- Compassionate bedside manner and ability to work collaboratively
