Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care with dignity and respect
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs and report any changes to the care team promptly
- Support safe transfers and positioning to maintain comfort and prevent injury
- Document care accurately and communicate effectively with nurses and families
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control policies
- Participate in orientation and ongoing training to improve patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in the state of California
- Prior experience as a CNA preferred but new grads with strong bedside manner welcome
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and mobility
- Accurate vital sign measurement and basic clinical observation
- Familiarity with documentation and charting best practices
- Knowledge of infection control procedures and safe patient handling
- Team player attitude and the ability to follow care plans
