Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on, compassionate patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
- Assist licensed nurses with procedures, basic treatments, and documentation
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients
- Participate in orientation, training, and unit huddles to improve care
Qualifications
- Valid California CNA certification required
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or required per facility policy
- Ability to pass background check and health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
- Prior experience in hospital or long-term care settings is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with patient care techniques and assisting with ADLs
- Basic documentation/charting skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of infection control and safety practices
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced clinical setting
