Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care including assistance with activities of daily living
Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff promptly
Assist nurses with patient mobility and safe transfers while following proper body mechanics
Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents and patients
Document care accurately and timely in the facility’s records
Communicate with patients and families with empathy and professionalism

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (Pennsylvania certification preferred)
Active basic life support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain if required
Recent experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
Ability to pass background check and meet facility health requirements (vaccinations, TB screening)
Reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively on a care team
Comfort with direct patient care duties, including lifting and mobility assistance

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient care and bedside skills
Knowledge of infection control and safe handling procedures
Accurate documentation and charting skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and staff
Basic ability to take and record vital signs and observe patient condition
Time management and ability to prioritize patient needs
