Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and toileting assistance
• Take and record vital signs accurately and escalate concerns to nursing staff
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
• Document resident observations and changes in condition in the medical record
• Support mealtime needs and ensure residents are comfortable and hydrated
• Participate as a team member in care planning and shift handoffs
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in Pennsylvania
• Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
• Comfortable with routine physical tasks and safe patient handling
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
• Previous experience in long-term care preferred but new grads with great attitude encouraged to apply

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and active state CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of personal care and activities of daily living
• Basic knowledge of infection prevention and patient safety
• Ability to accurately take and record vital signs
• Familiarity with charting and following care plans
• Teamwork, time management, and clear, kind communication
