Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and report patient changes to nursing staff to ensure timely follow-up
- Assist with bathing, grooming, feeding, mobility and toileting while preserving dignity
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and resident observations
- Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to support individualized care plans
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to keep residents and staff safe
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in Pennsylvania
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening as required by the facility
- Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Reliable attendance and the ability to work the scheduled shifts
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on patient care and ADL assistance
- Basic vital signs monitoring and reporting
- Familiarity with resident documentation and charting best practices
- Infection prevention and control practices
- Empathy, patience, and strong observational skills
