Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients with dignity and respect
- Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding) with patience and safety
- Take and record vital signs accurately and communicate any changes promptly
- Support nursing staff with timely reporting and clear documentation
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
- Build trusting relationships with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Help during admissions, transfers, and discharges to ensure smooth transitions
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings (TB, immunizations)
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented work ethic
- Previous experience as a CNA preferred but enthusiastic new CNAs are welcome
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and mobility support
- Able to take accurate vital signs and observe patient condition
- Strong communication skills for interacting with residents and care teams
- Familiarity with basic charting and documentation practices
- Knowledge of infection prevention and patient safety principles
- Compassionate bedside manner and patience in delivering care
