Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding)
• Monitor resident condition and promptly report changes to the nursing team
• Take and record vital signs and document care accurately in the chart
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
• Communicate respectfully and clearly with residents, families, and team members
• Assist with meal service and ensure residents’ comfort and dignity
• Participate in care planning and follow individualized care plans

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• Active registration or eligibility to be listed on the Pennsylvania CNA registry
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Previous experience in a long-term care, rehab, or clinical setting is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
• Ability to pass background check and required pre-employment screenings

Education

• Completion of an approved CNA training program
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Foundational knowledge of patient care and basic nursing procedures
• Safe transfer and mobility techniques
• Infection prevention and control practices
• Accurate documentation and charting habits
• Effective communication and teamwork
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
