Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) to residents
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and mobility support to promote independence
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Document resident care and observations clearly and timely in the chart
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to support care plans
• Build trust with residents and families through respectful, empathetic communication
• Participate in ongoing training and follow infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential valid in Pennsylvania
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain as required)
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and any required health screenings
• Comfortable assisting with mobility and transfers and performing physical tasks related to resident care
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach with attention to detail

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of patient care and ADLs
• Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
• Infection control practices and PPE use
• Basic charting and documentation best practices
• Safe transfer and mobility techniques
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced care setting
• Effective communication with residents, families, and care teams
