Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and document residents' condition and report changes to the care team
- Support safe, respectful transfers and mobility for patients
- Help maintain a clean, comfortable environment for residents
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (required) — valid for Connecticut practice
- Comfort working 8-hour shifts and supporting resident care needs
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Ability to pass any required background and health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Foundational knowledge of patient hygiene, mobility assistance, and basic vital signs
- Ability to follow care plans and accurately document care provided
- Compassionate bedside manner and respect for resident dignity
- Basic infection control and safety awareness
