Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Perform and document vital signs and routine observations accurately
- Assist nursing team with transfers, ambulation, and patient positioning
- Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for patients and families
- Communicate patient status and concerns clearly with the interdisciplinary team
- Support admissions, discharges, and timely handoffs to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (required) — must meet Georgia state requirements
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred
- Comfortable with 12.5-hour clinical shifts and hands-on patient care
- Ability to pass background check and required facility screenings
- Strong communication skills, reliability, and a team-oriented attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an accredited CNA program required
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamentals of patient care and activities of daily living
- Taking and accurately recording vital signs
- Infection control practices and safe patient handling
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Good communication, time management, and teamwork
