Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living
- Take and document vital signs, report changes promptly to the nursing team
- Assist with bathing, dressing, mobility and feeding while preserving patient dignity
- Support safe patient transfers and repositioning in collaboration with nursing staff
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient charts and electronic records
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — must be valid for practice
- Proof of work authorization to practice in Georgia
- Comfortable providing hands-on patient care and working as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to follow facility policies and maintain patient confidentiality
- Prior experience in a long-term care or acute care setting is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Clear, respectful communication with patients, families and clinical staff
- Basic patient care skills: bathing, toileting, feeding, mobility assistance
- Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with infection control practices and safe patient handling
- Comfortable with basic charting and following care plans
