Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding)
Monitor patient condition and promptly report changes to the nursing team
Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility to promote independence
Document care accurately and timely in the patient record
Support infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent patient-centered care

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (required) — must meet state requirements
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass background check and any facility-required screenings
Excellent communication skills and a caring bedside manner
Prior experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an accredited CNA program and current certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of basic patient care and ADLs
Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation skills
Infection control procedures and safe patient handling
Accurate documentation and time management
Teamwork, empathy, and effective communication with patients and staff
