Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with daily living tasks
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
- Support safe patient transfers, mobility and positioning with proper technique
- Maintain accurate documentation of care and observations
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver great care
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification (recommended to be valid in Georgia)
- Current basic life support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
- Demonstrated patient-centered mindset and strong communication skills
- Ability to stand, lift and assist patients safely for 12.5-hour shift durations
- Pass background check and required facility onboarding
- Previous experience in long-term care, acute care, or similar environments is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing care principles and patient safety
- Familiarity with vital sign measurement and patient observation
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team
- Time management skills to handle tasks during a 12.5-hour shift
- Basic charting/documentation skills and attention to detail
- Comfort with infection control practices and PPE use
