Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement individualized therapy interventions following each patient's occupational therapy plan of care
• Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner to support continuity of care
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic activities and strategies to promote independence
• Communicate patient status and response to treatment with the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Adhere to all safety, infection control, and compliance protocols to ensure a safe environment

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in California (or ability to obtain)
• Strong teamwork and patient care skills
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities

Education

• Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and interventions
• Skilled in patient education and family training
• Proficient in clinical documentation and record keeping
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of infection control and safety protocols
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
