Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patient mobility and functional status to create individualized PT plans
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans to improve function and independence
• Deliver therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and modalities as appropriate
• Document patient progress clearly and timely, ensuring continuity of care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient-centered care
• Educate patients and staff on safe mobility, injury prevention, and home exercise programs

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist or eligible for licensure in California
• Experience practicing Physical Therapy; facility/regulatory experience is a plus
• Ability to work Tue-Fri, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM for the duration of the assignment
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
• Comfortable working in a correctional facility environment and following facility policies
• Clear background checks and compliance with facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree in Physical Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, therapeutic exercise, and mobility training
• Proficient documentation and care planning skills
• Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Knowledge of safety protocols and infection control
• Ability to adapt treatment plans to diverse patient needs
• Time management and caseload prioritization
