Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray exams with precision and care
• Assist physicians and ER team with imaging needs during high-acuity situations
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout imaging procedures
• Operate and maintain radiology equipment to the highest standard
• Maintain accurate patient records and proper image documentation
• Partner with nursing staff to prioritize urgent imaging during strike coverage

Qualifications

• Active state licensure/certification as an X-ray Technician (non-negotiable)
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (or ability to obtain)
• EDAP I and II or ENPC certification required within 60 days for ER roles
• DCI/BVP certification as applicable
• Proof of MMR and Varicella vaccination or valid declination
• Minimum 10-panel drug screening and background check
• Ability to work on a per diem basis, including possible strike coverage

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in performing general and portable X-ray exams
• Strong understanding of radiation safety and ALARA principles
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced emergency department
• Excellent patient communication and customer service skills
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules and urgent priorities
• Familiarity with EHR and PACS systems
