Shift Type: Day shifts including 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, manager to clarify per position including weekends

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare patients meticulously for a wide variety of surgical procedures from open hearts to endoscopies
Provide compassionate Phase 2 recovery care and discharge education to send patients home safely
Start IVs confidently while monitoring vital signs and glucometer readings
Collaborate seamlessly in a team nursing approach to optimize patient outcomes
Deliver efficient preop and postop care in a bustling 16-bed outpatient surgery unit

Qualifications

Active RN license in good standing
At least 1 year of nursing experience
Previous Preop and Phase 2 Postop experience required
Competent and comfortable starting IVs
Texas or compact state RN license preferred for travel assignment

Education

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ADN/BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency with Meditech EMR system
Skilled in vital signs monitoring and glucometer use
Team player mindset with flexible and organized approach
Efficient time management in high-volume surgical recovery
