Shift Type: Night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional post-surgical care on a 20-bed telemetry unit
Monitor and manage patients with ratios of 5-6:1, making every interaction count
Collaborate with PT/OT, case managers, hospitalists, surgeons and PAs for seamless discharges
Perform daily patient rounding to ensure top satisfaction and safety
Handle diverse cases including orthopedics, neuro, urology and more with confidence
Utilize equipment like CPM, T-stat and wound vac to support recovery

Qualifications

Active RN license
BLS/ACLS certifications required
Over one year of nursing experience preferred
Texas RN license or compact state license

Education

RN nursing degree

Knowledge & Skills

Sharp critical thinking skills for fast-paced surgical environment
Ability to thrive in high-energy settings and handle relief charge duties
Friendly communicator who connects easily with patients and teams
Flexibility with scheduling and responsiveness in all situations
