Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding to changes quickly
• Administer medications, treatments, and advanced life support as needed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
• Educate patients and families about conditions and recovery processes
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with protocols

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in the state of Iowa (or compact license)
• At least 1 year of recent ICU experience preferred
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend/holiday
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• A positive attitude and team-player mindset

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in ICU nursing skills including ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and code response
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Familiarity with electronic health records and computerized charting
