Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms for each patient
• Take diagnostic records, including impressions, X-rays, and photographs
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions
• Manage patient flow and maintain accurate clinical documentation

Qualifications

• Current Orthodontic certification required
• Experience as a dental assistant in an orthodontic practice preferred
• CPR/BLS certification (will be required upon hire)
• Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in orthodontic procedures and instrument sterilization protocols
• Knowledge of dental radiography and safety standards
• Familiarity with dental practice management software
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Team-oriented with a positive, patient-first attitude
