Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM and 10:00 AM - 10:30 PM, with on-call one weekend every three months and holiday requirements as needed

Candidate Pay Rate: $58 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to patients in critical and acute care settings
• Manage ventilators and other respiratory equipment with precision
• Administer breathing treatments and oxygen therapy to improve patient outcomes
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to develop care plans
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as needed
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and home care

Qualifications

• Active CRT or RRT credential from the NBRC
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
• Valid Iowa state license or compact privilege
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (Associate or Bachelor's degree)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in ventilator management and weaning protocols
• Knowledge of respiratory pharmacology and medication delivery systems
• Skilled in arterial blood gas analysis and interpretation
• Able to perform EKGs and assist with bronchoscopies
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
