Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide critical respiratory care to patients in a fast-paced hospital setting
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and ventilator management
• Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments as needed
• Collaborate with nurses and physicians to optimize patient outcomes
• Respond to emergency codes and perform life-saving interventions
• Maintain detailed patient records and ensure compliance with protocols

Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Therapist license in Iowa (or compact eligible)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (must be current)
• At least 1 year of recent experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Willingness to work 12-hour night shifts and every third weekend
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and health requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in ventilator management and airway care
• Strong knowledge of respiratory pharmacology and equipment
• Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
• Comfortable working independently in a high-acuity environment
