Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms for patients on the telemetry unit
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments with precision
• Assess patient conditions and respond quickly to changes
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to create individualized care plans
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families
• Document accurately and maintain patient safety at all times
• Float to other units as needed to support team coverage

Qualifications

• Current California RN license
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association)
• ACLS certification preferred
• Previous experience in Telemetry or DOU is desired but not required
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and adapt to a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of cardiac rhythms and telemetry monitoring
• Skilled in patient assessment and medication administration
• Comfortable using electronic health records (EHR)
• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
• Capacity to work under pressure and make quick decisions
