Location: Springfield, Vermont

Start Date: 07-20-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36-hour guarantee, every other weekend, holidays as needed

Hours per Week: 60

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a dynamic adaptive acuity unit, ranging from medical-surgical to progressive care levels
Monitor and manage telemetry and drips including insulin, esmolol, and sodium drips
Act as charge nurse, overseeing unit operations and patient assignments
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float to any inpatient unit within scope of practice as needed

Qualifications

Active Vermont RN License or Compact state license
Current BLS (American Heart Association) and ACLS certifications
2+ years of current med surg/tele experience required
Charge nurse experience required
Progressive Care Unit/PCU experience strongly required
Drip management experience including insulin, esmolol, and sodium drips
Minimum 3 months previous travel experience required
Must have own reliable vehicle

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and drip management
Ability to adapt to changing patient acuity levels
Charge nurse leadership experience
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
