Location: Glenwood Springs, CO

Start Date: 08-04-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts including weekend rotation; must agree to be in the call rotation and take 1 call shift per 2-week period

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in the Med-Surg Acute Care and Observation Unit
Utilize the nursing process to plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate patient care
Monitor patients with acute and chronic illnesses, including post-orthopedic surgery and hybrid cath lab procedures
Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform advanced cardiac life support as needed
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with patients and families

Qualifications

Active RN license in Colorado or compact license
Minimum 2-3 years of recent Med-Surg, Acute Care, or Telemetry experience
Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
Flu vaccination (mandatory during flu season)
Willingness to work night shifts, weekends, and on-call rotations

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and ACLS protocols
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced acute care environment
Knowledge of EHR systems
