Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care using the nursing process
• Circulate in all specialty areas including Orthopedics, ENT, GYN/OB, General, Ophthalmology, and Dental
• Formulate nursing diagnoses, plan interventions, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Prepare for emergency cases on very short notice and work varied hours when on call
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain a safe and sterile environment in the operating room

Qualifications

• Valid, unrestricted RN license from any state in the US, Puerto Rico, or a US territory
• Current BLS, ACLS from the American Heart Association
• PALS certification required within 6 months of hire
• NIHSS certification required within 6 months of hire
• CNOR certification required within 1 year of hire
• TNCC certification required within 2 years of hire
• Minimum of 2 years clinical nurse and/or operating room experience (3 years preferred)

Education

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficient in circulating and scrubbing in the OR
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations
• Knowledge of sterile technique and infection control
