Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional preventive dental care including cleanings, exams, and patient education
- Assess patients' oral health and document findings in electronic health records
- Apply fluoride treatments and sealants to protect teeth
- Take and develop dental X-rays as needed
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and diet recommendations
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure comprehensive patient care
Qualifications
- Active Georgia Dental Hygiene license in good standing
- Graduate from an accredited dental hygiene program
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
Education
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in dental prophylaxis and scaling/root planing
- Knowledge of dental radiography and safety protocols
- Familiarity with electronic dental record systems
- Excellent patient education and chairside manner
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
