Registered Nurse - LDRP
Location: Brattleboro, Vermont
Start Date: 08-03-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts), 36 hours guaranteed per week; weekend and on-call schedules to be determined
Hours per Week: 60

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor the health of mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum
- Provide family-centered care in a low-risk birth unit using single-room maternity care
- Assist with cesarean births and epidurals
- Implement nursing interventions and evaluate patient responses
- Educate and support families through the birthing process
- Care for obstetrical patients, clean female surgical cases, and newborn stabilization
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of current LDRP experience (400+ deliveries a year preferred)
- Active Registered Nurse license in Vermont
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification
- AFM, NRP, and STABLE certifications preferred (can be obtained during onboarding)
- Travel experience highly preferred
- Resume with no gaps over 30 days, skills checklist, and 2 supervisory references required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in patient assessment, nursing care, and perinatal care
- Experience with C-sections, epidurals, electronic charting, and venipuncture
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced birthing center environment
