Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations in the Cardiovascular Lab
• Address psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment
• Communicate continuously with physicians regarding patient condition
• Assist with maintenance of equipment and inventory management
• Assess procedure room and equipment readiness for each case
• Obtain and prepare supplies for individual procedures
• Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Continuously monitor and record patient condition while in the Cardiovascular Lab
• Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nursing (RN) license in New Jersey
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) upon hire and maintained throughout
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab or Critical Care area
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

• Cardiovascular lab procedures and equipment
• Critical care nursing principles
• Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
• Patient assessment and care planning
• Effective communication and collaboration with healthcare team
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
