Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement patient care plans under the guidance of a Physical Therapist
• Help patients with stretching and exercise routines to improve mobility
• Read and follow instructions from the Physical Therapist for each patient
• Collaborate directly with the PT to modify treatments as needed
• Educate patients and families on at-home techniques for continued progress
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment
• Assist patients in moving from wheelchairs or walkers to the treatment area
• Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling and filing

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of Physical Therapy experience
• Experience in LTC or Rehab settings
• Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license
• Missouri state license required
• Must be submitted at the posted rate

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care and rehabilitation techniques
• Ability to work collaboratively with Physical Therapists and families
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Compassionate approach to patient care across all ages
