Roles & Responsibilities

• Observe residents continuously and report changes in mental and physical status
• Transcribe and execute physician orders accurately
• Administer medications and treatments via electronic MAR/TAR system
• Supervise Licensed Nursing Assistants (LNAs) in compliance with NH Board of Nursing
• Accompany physicians on rounds to address medical needs and facilitate 60-day reviews
• Perform wound care and manage oxygen therapy and gastrostomy feedings
• Coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers with thorough documentation
• Communicate with families to resolve concerns and obtain consent
• Assume unit management duties under the Nursing Supervisor or DON
• Orient new nursing staff and assist with continuing education

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of recent RN experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
• Active New Hampshire RN license in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification from AHA required
• IV certified or willing to obtain during onboarding
• Must be willing to float within areas of experience
• COVID vaccination required, no exemptions accepted
• Compact license allowed (must have NH license)
• Previous travel experience and rural facility experience highly preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong communication and time management skills
• Leadership ability to supervise and mentor nursing staff
• Proficiency in medication administration and electronic documentation
• Wound care, infection control, and IV certification
• Understanding of NH Board of Nursing regulations
