Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontist during exams and procedures to ensure efficient patient care
- Prepare patients for treatment, taking and mounting X-rays and impressions
- Sterilize and organize instruments and treatment rooms
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment flow
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or registration in Maryland
- X-ray certification required
- Orthodontic experience is a plus but willing to train the right candidate
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and terminology
- Proficiency in taking dental X-rays and impressions
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Commitment to infection control and safety standards
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
