Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist with patient preparation and instrument setup
• Take and develop dental radiographs as directed
• Maintain a clean and organized treatment area
• Document patient records accurately in the electronic health system
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post‑treatment care
• Manage inventory of supplies and ensure proper sterilization

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent state license
• Prior experience in orthodontic or general dentistry preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient‑focused attitude
• Proficiency with dental software and digital imaging
• Ability to follow infection control protocols meticulously

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of orthodontic procedures and appliances
• Knowledge of dental radiography safety and techniques
• Skill in chairside assistance and instrument handling
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Attention to detail for accurate record‑keeping
