Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist with patient preparation and instrument setup
• Take and develop dental impressions and digital scans
• Maintain and sterilize orthodontic equipment and treatment rooms
• Document patient records accurately using Denticon software
• Provide patients with post‑procedure instructions and oral hygiene guidance
• Coordinate appointment scheduling and manage patient flow efficiently

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent Maryland dental assisting license
• Prior experience in an orthodontic office preferred
• Strong knowledge of infection control protocols
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced clinical environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Orthodontic appliance handling and adjustment
• Dental radiography and imaging basics
• Proficiency with Denticon or similar dental practice management software
• Understanding of dental anatomy and terminology
• Team collaboration and problem‑solving abilities
