Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist with chairside procedures, ensuring a smooth and comfortable patient experience
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms to maintain the highest standards of safety
• Take and develop dental X-rays, scans, and impressions as directed
• Educate patients on treatment plans, aftercare, and oral hygiene practices
• Document patient care accurately using Denticon software
• Collaborate with the dental team to keep the clinic running efficiently

Qualifications

• Must be orthodontic certified (required)
• Current Maryland dental assistant registration/licensure, as applicable
• Experience as a dental assistant, with orthodontic experience preferred
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments, procedures, and sterilization protocols
• Comfortable using dental practice management software (Denticon experience a plus)
• Strong attention to detail and infection control practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Friendly, compassionate approach to patient care
