Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for orthodontic procedures
• Assist the orthodontist during patient appointments, ensuring smooth workflow
• Take and develop dental impressions and digital scans
• Maintain accurate patient records in the Denticon system
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post‑treatment care
• Sterilize and organize equipment according to infection control standards

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent state license
• Experience working in an orthodontic or dental office preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient‑focused attitude
• Proficiency with dental software, especially Denticon
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and terminology
• Understanding of infection control and OSHA regulations
• Excellent hand‑eye coordination for instrument handling
• Effective communication with patients and clinical staff
• Basic radiography skills
