Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists with procedures like braces adjustments and aligner fittings
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatory rooms
• Take dental x-rays and impressions as needed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and aftercare instructions
• Maintain patient records and manage appointment scheduling
• Work collaboratively with a dedicated dental team to ensure smooth patient flow

Qualifications

• Certified or registered Dental Assistant (RDA) in Maryland
• Experience in orthodontic assisting is preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments and procedures
• Familiarity with dental software (e.g., Denticon)
• Sterilization and infection control best practices
• Patient care and chairside manner
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
