Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services in alignment with state and federal regulations and facility guidelines
• Evaluate patients and develop personalized treatment plans that help improve independence in daily living skills
• Create and update individualized treatment and discharge plans to support meaningful progress
• Document services accurately and timely to ensure excellent continuity of care
• Supervise COTAs in accordance with practice acts and facility policies, fostering a collaborative environment
• Partner with interdisciplinary care teams and families to deliver holistic, patient-centered care
• Maintain compliance with all safety and regulatory standards, keeping patient well-being at the heart of everything

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (MOT/OTD)
• Active California OT license, or the ability to obtain one before starting
• Strong clinical, documentation, and communication skills to thrive in a skilled nursing setting
• A passion for helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (MOT/OTD)

Knowledge & Skills

• Occupational therapy assessment and patient evaluation
• Treatment planning and discharge planning
• Clinical documentation and timely record-keeping
• Supervision of COTAs and support staff
• Communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary care teams
• Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance standards
