Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings while keeping patients comfortable and at ease
• Assess oral health and document findings to support personalized treatment plans
• Take and develop digital X-rays to help diagnose dental issues accurately
• Educate patients on effective oral hygiene routines and preventive care
• Sterilize instruments and maintain a safe, clean clinical environment
• Collaborate with the dentist and team to deliver exceptional patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong communication skills and a caring chairside manner
• Experience with dental practice software is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing
• Knowledge of dental radiography safety and techniques
• Understanding of infection control standards and OSHA regulations
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build patient trust
• Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
