Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and scaling procedures
• Take and analyze dental X-rays to assist in diagnosis
• Document patient care and update medical histories
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and prevention
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatory
• Partner with dentists to develop treatment plans

Qualifications

• Current Virginia Dental Hygienist license
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification
• Proficiency in using dental equipment and X-ray systems
• Strong patient rapport and communication skills
• Ability to maintain infection control standards

Knowledge & Skills

• Comprehensive understanding of dental anatomy and periodontology
• Experience with dental practice management software
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient privacy
• Excellent time management and organization skills
