Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate and thorough dental hygiene care to patients of all ages
• Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing to maintain oral health
• Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing, and nutrition for optimal dental hygiene
• Take and develop dental x-rays, ensuring clear and accurate imaging
• Assist the dentist during procedures and support the clinical team
• Maintain detailed patient records and ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification (required)
• Completion of an accredited dental hygiene program
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience in a dental office setting is preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental hygiene tools and techniques
• Knowledge of dental software for patient management
• Understanding of OSHA and infection control standards
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
