Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality dental hygiene care including cleanings and patient assessments
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care techniques
• Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently
• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
• Maintain sterilization standards and infection control protocols
• Cultivate a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for patients

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia
• Graduate from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience in a clinical dental setting is a plus, but new graduates are welcome to apply
• Strong communication and patient-interaction skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with dental hygiene instruments and equipment
• Knowledge of dental radiography (x-ray) techniques
• Familiarity with dental practice management software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to infection control standards
• Ability to work collaboratively with the dental team
