Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and periodontal therapy with precision and care
• Educate patients on preventive oral hygiene and home care techniques
• Take and interpret dental x-rays while ensuring safety and accuracy
• Collaborate with the dentist to develop tailored treatment plans
• Maintain meticulous patient records and uphold strict infection control standards

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Nice to have: experience with dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft

Knowledge & Skills

• Sound knowledge of dental hygiene principles and practices
• Proficiency with digital radiography and diagnostic tools
• Excellent interpersonal skills to make patients feel at ease
• Attention to detail in documentation and infection control
