Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive preventive dental care including cleanings and examinations
• Assess patients' oral health and identify signs of disease or abnormalities
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Document patient care and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans
• Ensure compliance with infection control standards

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Current CPR certification
• Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical dental hygiene procedures

• Radiography and digital imaging
• Infection control and safety protocols
• Electronic health records (EHR) systems
