Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings to remove plaque and tartar
• Examine patients for oral diseases and report findings to the dentist
• Take and develop dental X-rays with precision
• Educate patients on effective oral hygiene practices
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans
• Sterilize and prepare dental instruments to ensure a safe environment

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in New York State
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Graduate from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization techniques
• Understanding of oral health assessment and preventive care
• Proficiency with dental software and record keeping
• Excellent interpersonal skills to comfort and reassure patients
